Not hair beauty or make up… It’s “The Spider Catcher”
I got my Spider Catcher from the Official Site – so paid £9.99 with free postage.
For anyone else like me – you have to realise that the company is based in Ireland – so do not expect next day delivery. Mine took over a week to turn up. If you’re impatient, and don’t mind spending the extra cash, there are sites that ship next day.
Anyway, first impressions were it is AMAZINGLY over-packaged. The box is huge! I’m sure there would be a way to make the box smaller.
Apart from the biitching above – I love the Spider Catcher. It comes with a little lid, and a little plastic spider to practice with.
I like the way you are not near the spiders when you catch them – AND IT DOES NOT HURT THEM.
I’m getting good at using the Spider Catcher now. It is a bit tricky – the bristles are hard. So it does not flex well when the spiders are in the corners, and when the spider is on the move, it can be a real challenge. But I still really like this. The box says you can catch bees/wasps/etc but im not sure how easy that would be.
So I’m giving this product 4/5 stars – it’s a GREAT idea, I love it, but the time it takes to catch spiders that are running around, and the practice it needs to use it stops it getting 5 stars.
NOTE: Someone bought me this as a present – and for some reason, the company that makes this product, instead of wrapping the box in brown paper for posting (or putting it in a bag), decided to turn the box inside out, by cutting it then taping it back up. It just meant that the presentation when the box was put back wasn’t great – it looked bent, creased, and kind of made it look cheaper then it needed to be. If anyone selling these reads this – it’s not a good idea to do that!
